Shahram Ayoubzadeh, President
After studying medicine and specializing in infectious and tropical diseases, Shahram started his journey in Holistic Medicine by studying acupuncture, Naturopathic Medicine, and finally specializing in Classical Homeopathy. He has been in practice for 34 years and teaching homeopathy at CCHM for the last 24 years. Shahram is the Clinical Director of the Integral Health Clinic, the Dean of the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine, the President of the Council of Homeopathic Colleges and Schools, a Board Member of the Canadian Coalition for Homeopathy, and a founding member of the Ontario Alliance for Homeopathic Advancement.
Patricia Cardona, Vice President
Patricia is a 4th year Fellowship graduate of the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine and a Registered Homeopath with CHO. She has been practicing in Mississauga since 2009 and while she has a general practice, her areas of interest are chronic conditions and mental health. She is passionate about making Homeopathy mainstream, which is why she gives presentations to better inform the public. As a member of the OAHA board, Patricia hopes to get Registered Homeopaths included in insurance benefit plans to support the future of the profession and make Homeopathic treatment more accessible.
Rachel Fernandes Valarmathy, Secretary
Rachel brings 30 years of global experience in clinical practice, academic leadership, and professional advocacy. She holds an MD in Homeopathy, certifications in Medical Cosmetology, Trichology, and Aesthetics, and a PhD in Clinical Sexology and Psychosexual Counseling. Rachel is the founder of Khaylem Advanced Integrative Aesthetics Pvt. Ltd. (India) and Rachel’s Homeopathy Inc. (Canada), both focusing on holistic, patient-centered care. In India, she practiced extensively and served as principal and professor at a prominent homeopathic medical college. In Canada, she has actively contributed to the (OHA), (HMAC), and (OHMA), advancing entrepreneurial and academic policies to promote homeopathy. She is committed to advancing homeopathy and integrative health globally.
Brigitte Davis, Treasurer
Brigitte is a Registered Homeopath practicing in Chatham ON since 2008, graduating from the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine. Areas of interest in her practice are chronic conditions and complicated cases. She has served on the board of Zonta Club of Chatham-Kent and the Zonta Club of Chatham Foundation multiple terms. Her dream is that Homeopathy becomes mainstream, an integrated part of our health care system, and that health benefit package coverage becomes standard. She wants to advocate for the advancement of the profession, and support homeopaths in their practices. Being on the board is her way of achieving these goals for you.
Christina Barrett, Member
Christina started her practice in Orangeville Ontario in 2004 where she practices to this day. While working on her practice,she worked for several homeopathic companies, creating and executing training and education for health food retail workers. She then moved into the food and drug channel, taking a job with a major grocery chain. During that time, she worked directly with the pharmacy team to start a collaborative program between our on-staff Homeopaths and other health practitioners in the store, to better take care of the needs of our customers. She’s currently on the CHPA (Canadian Homeopathic Pharmacy Association) Technical Committee.
Erin Crawford, Member
Erin Crawford, DC Hom Med, pursued her Diploma in Homeopathy & Health Sciences from the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine and is a practicing Homeopath, registered with the College of Homeopaths of Ontario. She has established her Family Practice in Markham, Ontario, and has a special interest in women’s health and children’s issues. A former teacher with a master’s degree in education as well as an Honors degree in Gerontology, Erin has a long history of working with hundreds of families and enjoys working in the community. Erin lives in Markham with her husband, three children, and their dog.
Liz Dennis, Member
Liz was introduced to homeopathy as a young mom of two lively boys where she had the opportunity to experience the benefits of homeopathy firsthand. This inspired her to pursue the study of homeopathy as a second career. Liz has been a registered homeopath with the College of Homeopaths since 2018. She completed her homeopathic education and clinical training at the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine. Liz has the privilege of serving families in all ages and stages of life from her practice in Guelph, Ontario.
Joyce Edge, Member
Joyce brings a wealth of experience and expertise to OAHA, having navigated the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine (CCHM) through the trials and tribulations of both accreditation and regulation. She knows first-hand what the study of Homeopathy is like, having completed both the 3-year in class diploma program, and the CCHM Post Grad program herself. Joyce is Vice President of CCHM, consulting on day-to-day operations, assisting in curriculum development, promotional activities and more. Joyce has been a core member of the staff at CCHM since 2004 and has seen the school through numerous changes and evolutions and is now a founding member of OAHA.
